[Solved] MAMP mysql doesn’t start after crash mac.

This trick can save you projects. I have been looking around the internet without success. Sometimes my Macbook pro get kernel panic and reboot and after that mysql was not running. Nothing helps I was trying through Terminal, Activity Monitor etc…. nothing. And… the help came with email from support of MAMP guys.

As you see MySQL Server doesn’t start. This mean is still running on the background but you can’t stop it.

So quit MAMP

Navigate to Applications/MAMP/db/mysql56

You gonna see these two files.

Change just the numbers at the end… that’s all.

Start your MAMP. You can continue with your projects.
